TC Conference Guest Speaker - Skip Hudson
We are honored and excited to welcome Skip Hudson as a guest speaker at the Testicular Cancer Conference 2018.
Skip is an entrepreneur with over 33 years of practical experience as a small business owner (6 companies) or department director for large public and private organizations (7). He also served as President for the Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation. He is a proven project and program manager.
His current technical focus relates to mental health and life skills education in organizational settings. Skip is formally trained in mindfulness and emotional resiliency techniques/practices, with over 17 years of teaching and mentoring experience in groups. He is currently president of Skip Hudson, LLC, a provider of life skills education to youth and adults. Skip is also Vice President of Good Life Wellness Solutions LLC, a provider of innovative workplace wellness programs designed for small businesses.
Skip serves as a community social services volunteer, with the intent of guiding people and organizations to holistic well-being. He volunteers for agencies in Grand Junction like Hilltop Community Resources, the Young Entrepreneurs Academy, the Tree House, and Mesa County Partners.
His formal education and training includes a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Michigan Technological University. It also includes specific mental health training from the University of California San Diego. This includes teacher training for two courses: Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) for adults and Making Friends with Yourself (MFY) for teens. Skip is also an advisor and co-teacher with the developers of the MFY Course.
