Are you a testicular cancer patient or survivor? Below you will see a list of the open studies that are available to participate in. Your willingness to participate is greatly appreciated and could help improve the lives of those impacted by testicular cancer.

Active Surveys

  • The goal of this study is to get at least 10 young adult survivors to sign up from every organization that supports Adolescent Young Adults (AYAs) in the country.

    Here’s a little bit about the study:

    Consented participants will:

    • Complete questionnaires before starting, and at 3 and 6 months.

    • Wear an activity monitor 24/7 for 7 days before starting and at 3 and 6 months.

    • Receive a Fitbit, the Opt2Move app, exercise prescription, and 15-min orientation call

    • Be compensated up to $150 for participating + they get to keep their Fitbit watch!

    Who can participate?

    Eligible participants are 18-39 years old now and at cancer diagnosis, have completed primary treatment, are within 5 years of diagnosis, have internet access and own a smartphone.

  • The insights gathered from this survey are crucial in shaping the advocacy and support efforts by the NCCS. By understanding the experiences and needs of cancer survivors and their caregivers, NCCS can better inform its programs and policies to make a meaningful impact.

    • Eligibility: Cancer survivors and caregivers

    • Languages: Available in English and Spanish

    • Confidentiality: Responses are strictly confidential and will be analyzed collectively.

  • The goal of this study is to improve support for testicular cancer patients by understanding better the patient perspective of the medical process after orchiectomy (removal of the testicle) in patients who have stage I disease (no spread to lymph nodes).

    Participation in this study will involve:

    • An online questionnaire, which is estimated to take 3-5 minutes to complete.

  • The purpose of this research study is to find out more about life after cancer, specifically to understand the impact of cancer sexual well-being components, including sexual health knowledge, interpersonal relationships, and body image among young adult survivors, ages 18-25 years old.

    Participation in this study will involve:

    • An online questionnaire, which is estimated to take 60-70 minutes to complete.

    • Compensation of $15 total in the form of an Amazon Gift Card following completion of the online survey.

  • Are you a cancer survivor aged 18 to 39 who has completed treatment and has concerns about relationships or sexual health? Researchers at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute are conducting a research study to learn directly from young adults about these concerns.   • Are you a young adult cancer survivor and having trouble falling or staying asleep?

    STEP-YA is an online educational program intended for survivors ages 20-39 with insomnia. 

    STEP-YA includes a single, 1-on-1 education session about changes for sleep habits and health behaviors to improve sleep. After which you will complete two brief online surveys within a two-month period and be compensated up to $60 for your time. Some participants may receive two brief coaching sessions in addition to the education session. Check out our 90 second video and learn more at: www.stepforsleep.com!
