The Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation’s mission is to raise awareness, promote the importance of early detection and support for those affected by the disease. The Jordan Jones Memorial Achievement Award recognizes outstanding work done in the name of testicular cancer awareness and support.
Jordan’s story
October 2007 Jordan Jones was diagnosed with an aggressive form of late stage testicular cancer at the early age of 13. It was during his treatment that it became apparent there was a lack of education and support for this disease.
Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation was formed October 2009. We are a nonprofit compassionately dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by testicular cancer, educating others about the importance of awareness and early detection, and continuing to save lives.
June 30, 2015 Jordan was diagnosed with late recurrence, late stage testicular cancer once again. Cancer had spread to most of his liver, large abdominal mass, more than 100 tumors in his lungs, and a spot on the soft tissue of his spine and later spread to his brain. After salvage chemo, 2 cycles of high dose chemo with stem cell recovery, and clinical trials, Jordan Jones passed away June 8, 2016 surrounded by his closest family members and friends.
