RUNNERS SUPPORT TESTICULAR CANCER AWARENESS DURING THE 2023 BOSTON MARATHON
This year’s Boston Marathon takes place April 17, 2023 and will showcase over 3,000 runners who have met stringent requirements to participate. Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation is honored to be amongst the charities who are recognized during this marathon and grateful to be spreading the message of Testicular Cancer Awareness during this well-attended event. Around 500,000 spectators cheer on the race each year as runners tackle this vigorous course and challenge themselves to new heights.
Testicular Cancer Awareness Month is observed in April to encourage men to perform monthly testicular self exams. “Awareness, Support and Survivorship is the primary mission of Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation.” said Kim Jones, C.E.O. and Founder, “It is important to remove the stigma that is associated with testicular cancer and educate others about the importance of monthly self exams and early detection.” Testicular Cancer is the leading cancer in men ages 15 - 44. Every year in the U.S. approximately 9,000 men are diagnosed with testicular cancer.
