Many employers offer a corporate giving program where their employees can designate a portion of their paycheck to a charity of their choice. This allows an opportunity for companies to engage their employees in acts of kindness and make an impact in the areas they wish to see change. There are different ways employers can offer this:
Employee donation matching – the employer matches the donations contributed by the employee.
Gifting or in-kind donations – employees give needed supplies to a nonprofit organization.
Employee do-good grants – if an employee is granted a bonus or reward at work, they can choose to give it to a nonprofit organization.
Grants for volunteering expenses – some employers help support an employee with volunteer opportunities they wish to participate in.
Dollars for doers – employees that volunteer can receive rewards from employers and then that monetary reward can be given to a nonprofit of the employee’s choosing.
