James Gray is a 20 year old university student studying at Newcastle University, England. On May 28th, James started a grueling challenge where cycled from one side of the States to the other, covering a distance of over 3,800 miles across 10 States, in just 39 days! James’ challenge, Across the States in 40 Days, was in aid of raising awareness of testicular cancer, a disease he became aware of during his time at university through the talks delivered by The OddBalls Foundation’s University Ambassadors. James was motivated to make a difference, so he rode to support The OddBalls Foundation, a UK charity raising awareness of testicular cancer, and Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation based in the US.
Total Raised During James’ Journey
UK: £21,024.88
US: $88,685.00
James is an extraordinary young man with his own story to tell. In 2013, James ruptured ligaments in his neck whilst playing schoolboy rugby and was temporarily paralyzed for 4 hours. He was in a neck brace for 3 months and was in and out of a wheelchair throughout the period of wearing the neck brace, whilst regaining his strength. James’ recovery was demanding, both physically and mentally, and he's now got nerve damage down the right side of his body. Across the States in 40 Days is a monumental challenge, but James is not afraid of a bit of hard work and we have every faith that he’ll smash the ride!

What is the oddballs college ambassador program ?
The College Ambassador Program in America will mirror the University Ambassador Program in the UK.
OddBalls will establish College Ambassadors across The States to help raise awareness of Testicular Cancer.
College Ambassadors will have the same responsibilities as the UK ambassadors. They will visit middle schools, high school, universities / colleges, businesses, etc., delivering educational talks on Testicular Cancer to help breakdown the stigma. The College Ambassadors will also distribute and fit OddBalls Check Yourself Guides into public spaces that are visible for men to see.
College Ambassadors will also be challenged to organize a fundraising event / awareness campaign to support the College Ambassador Program and help make it more sustainable.
